The Fort Myers Beach Farmers Market is back and open for business! This market is now at it’s new location at the Bay Oaks Recreation Center pool parking lot. It is located at 2600 Estero Blvd., between Topps and the public library.
This year the market is bigger than and better than ever. You will have your choice of freshly baked breads, cakes, fresh fruits and veggies, seafood as well as yummy home-made treats for your dog.
The market also features hand-made soaps and other things made by local artisans. I don’t know about you, but I love to support local, small businesses and this is the perfect place to do just that.
The hours are 7:30am-11:30am and the next market is Jan. 8th because we have Christmas as well as New Years Day, fall on Friday’s.
If you are looking to make some extra money and have something to sell that fit the guidelines, then you can join in and become a vendor.
The official description of the market and allowed products is as follows: “The FMB Farmers Market is a “GREEN” market and does not allow any crafts, antiques, or other non-consumable goods. Examples of items currently permitted include, but are not limited to, fresh fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, fresh and dried herbs and spices, jams, jellies, nuts, baked goods, pasta, seafood, fresh and dried meats, plants, cut flowers, cheese, honey, sauces, condiments and other consumable products at the discretion of the market manager.”
The cost is $20 for one day or $64 if you want to sell for 4 days or you can sell for the entire season, through April for $264.
